The Presence Project

I am currently investigating the construction and performance of presence in mediated and simulated environments through a major AHRC funded collaborative project with Professor Nick Kaye (Exeter University), Professor Mel Slater (University College London), Professor Michael Shanks (Stanford University, USA).

The project, running 2006-2010, will also involve the participation of artists Gary Hill, the Builders Association, Lynn Hershman, Paul Sermon, Bella Merlin, Tim Etchells, Blast Theory, Tony Oursler, Tilda Swinton, Phillip Zarrilli, Ken Goldberg, Vayu Naidu, Mike Pearson and Mike Brookes, among others.

As part of the project, we will be developing two experiments in CAVE using motion capture.
