Roland Quitt Roland Quitt works as a free-lance dramaturg. He studied Musicology, German and Philosophy in Berlin and has worked with various theatres as a dramaturg in the fields of music theatre and spoken drama. For many years now his work has mainly been centered around experimental forms of music theatre. At the municipal theatre of Bielefeld (Germany) he developed the format "visible music" comprising new forms of music theatre outside of opera. Here he was responsible for comissioning and the working conceptually on more than 20 new pieces of music theatre. At the Nationaltheater Mannheim he continued this work. Composers he has worked with include Dieter Schnebel, Vinko Globokar, Manos Tsangaris, Carola Bauckholt, Rolf Riehm, Iris ter Schiphorst, Peter Ablinger, Walter Zimmermann, Georg Nussbaumer and many others.
