Phoenissae or “Phönizierinnen” was a performance devised from and based on the Euripdes’ play as part of a large project of the Drama, Music and Art departments of the Universität Hildesheim under the heading “Antike intermedial” (“Antiquity intermedial”). It involved 18 different projects – performances, installations, photographic exhibitions, etc. – that were presented to the public in day-long festivals, not unlike the ancient Greek Dionysian celebrations. A complete recording of the performance is available as a DVD (payment to cover packing and postage). Contact David Roesner directly or contact the Exeter Digital Archives. Cast: Kathi Baumann, Cynthia Friedrichs, Anne Gorath, Frederike Holste, Nele Kießling, Florina Limberg, Thomas Renz, Steffen Scholl, Thomas Seher, Hendrikje Spengler, Anne Stolz Directed by David Roesner, Margrit Sengebusch and Wolfgang Löffler Audio Video Programme
