Using Express 125 Lighting Board - Advanced

Playing Back Cues

Select a cue to play back : [Stage] [Cue] [1] [2] [Enter] [Go]

[Go] : Pressing Go automatically goes onto the next cue (highlighted in WHITE on the display screen.)

The cue you’re in is shown in YELLOW on the display. (If the cue is shown in GOLD, it means it’s not currently selected, and any changes you make will affect another cue.)

Going Back Over Cues

To go back to a previous cue, press [Cue] [5] [Go]. The next time you go, it will be to Cue 6 (if that’s the next one).

Stopping A Cue

If you press [Go] at the wrong time, you can stop the cue by pressing [Hold]. Press [Go] to resume the fade, or press [Hold] again to cancel the cue, leaving it where it got to.

Follow-on Cues

Follow allows you to play a sequence of cues automatically. The Follow time indicates how long the console waits after the cue starts before the next cue runs.

[Cue] [1] [Follow] [2] [Enter] assigns a follow time of 2 secs to cue 1. Cue 2 will start 2 secs after cue 1 starts.

Wait Times

A wait on Express is the same as Delay on other boards. The start of the upfade or downfade of a cue can be delayed. The first wait holds the upfade, the second holds the downfade.

[Cue] [5] [Time] [3] [Wait] [6] [Enter] sets cue 5 to wait 6 secs before starting a 3 second upfade

[Cue] [7] [Wait] [Wait] [5] [Enter] sets cue 7 to wait 5 secs before starting the downfade.

Effects

A cue can be recorded as a normal crossfade (the default) or as an effect cue. See the separate sheet…

Clearing the Board

When you begin work on plotting a new show, it is always a good idea to wipe the board clear of existing cues. To do this, press [Setup] [4] [Enter] [2] [Enter[ [Enter].

Saving to Disk

You can save the whole show to disk as a backup, or so that you can work offline on the show, using one of the Thornlea computers. See JP for more information.

Press [Setup]. Press [3], Disk Functions {Enter]. Press [1] Write Show to Disk [Enter]. Press [Enter] to confirm.

Loading From Disk

You can only load a whole show from disk, which will replace the show currently in the board.

Press [Setup]. Press [3], Disk Functions {Enter]. Press [2] Read Show from Disk [Enter]. Press [Enter] again to confirm.
