Current Research Projects
- 'Mini-spoke' in Horizon Digital Economy Research Hub, University of Nottingham (2009-2014). Horizon, also involving the Universities of Cambridge and Reading, aims at the development of new ways to use the electronic
'footprints' we leave behind whenever we use mobile, internet and other digital technologies, and new ways to utilise digital technologies to help business and stimulate economic growth. The Hub focuses on two key sectors:
Culture and the Creative Industries and Transport and examines how the digital footprints we leave behind could be harnessed to transform the way those sectors operate. The £13 million five-year project is funded by RCUK.
Partners (36 in total) include Alton Towers, BBC, British Library, BT, Jaguar, Network Rail and Oracle.
