Artist, and designer. Brookes has worked as a painter, time based media, experimental theatre. In recent years his performance work has focused largely upon the production of durational objects and interventions, holistic ambients, radical structures of presentation, and context specific performance works. Concentrating both artistically and practically upon the proposal and development of innovative practices and strategies within the form, function, and placement of live art. Since 1999 he is tutor in scenography and performance within the University of Wales, Aberystwyth.
